Event → Task is a Chrome extension made by VOURTSIS PAN SINGLE MEMBER P.C. (company details in the terms). It turns Google Calendar events into Google Tasks, and tasks back into events. This policy explains what it accesses and why.
What it accesses in your Google account
Only when you choose one of its menu items on an event or task, the extension uses your Google account to:
- Convert to task / Copy to task: read that one event (title, time, location, video-call link, description) through the Google Calendar API, and create a task from it in the Google Tasks list you picked. Convert to task then deletes the event.
- Convert to event / Copy to event: read that one task through the Google Tasks API, and create an event from it in your primary calendar. Convert to event then deletes the task.
It also reads your list of task lists so you can choose one in its settings, and your Google account's email address, to remember which account you signed in with. To set a new task's time, it fills in Google Calendar's own task editor on the page you have open.
It requests these Google permissions: calendar.events, tasks and userinfo.email.
What it stores
- Your settings (chosen task list, menu and time preferences) and how many free conversions you've used, in Chrome's extension storage, synced by Chrome if you use Chrome Sync.
- Your Google account's email address, stored locally in Chrome.
- A temporary Google access token, kept in memory for up to one hour.
Payments
Payments are handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you buy, you enter your email and payment details on their pages. We never see or store your card details. ExtensionPay tells the extension whether you've paid, using an identifier created for your installation, and keeps your email so you can restore your purchase on another computer. What it does not do
- There is no Event → Task server. Your calendar and task data go only between your browser and Google.
- It does not read events or tasks you don't choose to convert.
- It does not collect analytics, show ads, sell data, or share your Google data with anyone.
Event → Task's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and data
Click Sign out in the extension's settings, or remove “Event → Task” at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling the extension deletes its stored settings. To delete your purchase record, email us.
